Easy to empty and to extend the capacity
Thanks to urine separation the smell is significantly reduced. What comes out is exhaust air from the 1 1/2″ schedule 20 or 40 PVC ventilation pipe. When used by 2 people, the solids container needs emptying once a week. With two users the urine container needs emptying about every other day. Both the container for solids and liquids come with lids or caps which can be used to seal the containers. For boaters or people traveling for days in between waste disposal sites it’s recommended to use multiple containers which can be sealed and stored before emptying. Extra containers are available as accessories.
Hygienic and odorless
Separett Tiny® has high operational reliability and is easy to install. The fan ventilates the possibly remaining odor that is left after urine separation. The constantly running fan also contributes to a better indoor climate by keeping the air in the space in motion. The fan is efficient and quiet.
Convenient
The view screens covers the solid waste container and the flaps open automatically when you sit down to use the toilet. This means that you never see the toilet waste except when it is time to empty.
5 year warranty
Waterless compost Separett Tiny® is covered by a five-year warranty.

Installation Instructions
Toilet placement
Separett Tiny has no requirements for room temperature and works in both cold and warm spaces. The only requirements are that you must be able to fit a ventilation pipe.
The toilet is made to be placed on the floor against the wall, and for extra stability it should be attached either to the floor, the wall or both.
Drill holes according to installation template
The installation instructions show possible installation options for urine drain and ventilation pipe through the wall, the ceiling or the floor. The installation template shows the places for holes in most common installations. These options enable an installation without visible pipes.
Install ventilation pipe
The toilet is designed for 1.5″ schedule 20 or schedule 40 PVC pipes. For optimal function it is recommended that you use Separett’s installation kit that has pipes and connectors in the correct dimensions. Separett Tiny can be installed with up to 16 1/2 feet of ventilation piping and two 90-degree bends. Ventilated air can go through a wall, floor or ceiling, for example, up into an attic and out through a suitable side of the house. If there is already a ventilation pipe present from a previous toilet installation, the toilet may be connected to that duct, provided that it is not smaller than 1.5″ (schedule 20 or schedule 40 PVC) and that it meets the piping requirements. Should you need longer piping that exceeds the recommendations above, you may install an extra fan (article number 13008).
The toilet comes with a coupling for connecting the toilet to 1.5 inch schedule 20 or schedule 40 PVC pipes.
Handling of the Solid Waste
Many people dispose of toilet waste the same way they would dispose of diapers, but it’s also possible to compost it into nutrient-rich compost.
Keep in mind that the waste is not composted when you empty the bucket. Human waste should be composted for at least 6 months, preferably 12 months, to ensure pathogens are eliminated. Mixing garden waste, kitchen scraps, and toilet waste helps speed up the process and improve the result. A good rule of thumb is to plan for at least 30 gallons (110 liters) per user, using two containers so one can rest while the other is in use.
Always use a sealed bin or a container with a collection tray to prevent leaching. Make sure it has a solid lid and secured ventilation grates to keep out rodents, insects, and rain.

No need for an agitator or bulking material
Many composting toilet models on the market include an agitator. However, effective composting requires significantly more volume and higher temperatures than what these compact toilets provide, making an agitator unnecessary in units of this size.
Agitators also introduce components that come into direct contact with waste, making them harder to clean and increasing the risk of mechanical failure.
Separett toilets remain odorless thanks to an efficient ventilation fan, without the need to add bulking material or stir the contents. In fact, adding bulking material to the solids container can cause it to fill up faster and may even damage the fan, as fine dust particles can be drawn into the ventilation system.
Handling of the Liquid Waste
The integrated urine container is easy to remove and carry, allowing for convenient and flexible waste handling. Most users empty the container into a standard toilet, a designated greywater system, or an appropriate outdoor disposal site in accordance with local regulations.
To maintain hygiene and prevent odors, it’s important to rinse the container with water after each emptying. Additionally, we recommend rinsing the container once every two weeks with a 50/50 water and vinegar mix to help break down residue and eliminate any lingering smells.
If you’re stationary and wish to dispose of it outdoors, always follow local waste management and greywater guidelines to ensure safe and responsible disposal.
